You can change the look of your blog from the members area, so it need not look exactly like mine.) When you are registering, they will ask you to provide a user name which will become pat of your URL. In mine http://blogestates/blog/homebizadvisor the homebizadvisor bit is my user name. If you want your business name to be the same as your Blogestates user name, check its availability first at enom.com or  ViralDomainNames.com. You cannot change your user name after you have registered. Blogs are the fastest growing sector of the internet community, and the reason is that it is so simple. If you have any difficulty setting up your blog account email me at Contact. For our purposes, the subsidiary reason is the most important factor, Search engines love blogs. They are so rich in texture and are full of thousands of lovely key words.

 Then you get a blog you get a ready made website that you can use for anything. Now, Blogestates is a little different from the bulk of the blog hosters. If you want a commercial site, that is if you want to make money on the site, you have to upgrade. When I first saw that, I thought “What a cheek”, but when I delved a little further I realized they were offering one heck of a deal. They give you free hosting of your own Blog domain as part of the upgrade! All you have to do is to register your domain through ViralDomainNames and they host your site free!  Step 2- Upgrade. This is one of only two times you are going to need your credit card. You are committing to only $6.99 for the first 30 days, and you can cancel any time. P.S. You can use your new PayPal account to set up your subscription.

  Step 3- Make your first entry. Before you leave Blogestates, make your first entry, you are going to want to do this often, so get used to it! (You need to make frequent entries to your blog so that the search engines are kept busy keeping up with the changes in your blog, and it keeps you on the “recent entries” list at Blogestates, guaranteeing you more traffic to your blog!) Don’t worry about what to say in these entries, there are plenty of examples set out in the Resources

 For your first entry, something like this will do just fine!

 Heading: I am in business on the internet.

Body: I have my own home business. I will have my own website in 72hrs at http://mydomain.com. I did all this for $6.99 a month plus the cost of my domain. I got the idea from MikesLastStand.com. Incredible!

 And that is the end of phase one, and the completion of the first part of my promise. You are in business on the internet, you have a website that you can use to advertise/promote or sell anything you want. In phase 2 I will show you how to set up a business and you are going to use your blog to promote it.

 Phase 2

Step 4- Register your chosen domain. This is optional, but if you choose not to, your URL will look like this: http://www.mikeslaststand.com/YourName/Default.htm. I am sure you would prefer http://www.YourName.com .This is only the second and also the last time you have to use your credit card. Go to  enom.com or ViralDomainNames.com and register your chosen domain name. .com’s are best, .net’s next, .biz after that, then any of the others. (I have given you two options, Enom is more expensive but I do my hosting with them and your domain will propogate faster if you register through them. With Viral Domain Names it may take up to 48 hours longer.)

 Step 5- Sign up for as many of the programs on the sign up page as you feel comfortable with. All offer a free sign up option and you can use that option. Many also offer upgraded options, and in time, when you are comfortable, you may chose to upgrade. Doing so is not a prerequisite for this program, nor will it in most cases prevent you from starting to earn income. If you don’t sign up for all programs, your website will include ad’s with your sponsors ID.

  Step 6- Send me an email with all your sign up URLs. I have a typical email on the signup page. The example has my URL ID’s. Make sure you edit it to include your own. In the email is provision for you to include up to six of your own programs that you may wish to add to the list. Just give me the URL and the 500 character advertisement you want to use, with a defined headline, and you are done.

Yes, if you are already a member of a program you may give me your existing URL. I will be providing you with free hosting, and as long as I do so, I reserve the right to include some advertising of my own on your website. You may at any time choose to arrange your own hosting, at which time you may make whatever changes to your website you desire.
